LED (light-emitting diode) displays are electronic devices that use arrays of light-emitting diodes to display visual information. LED displays are commonly used in electronic devices such as digital clocks, traffic signals, and scoreboards.

An LED display consists of an array of LEDs that emit light when an electric current is applied to them. The LEDs are arranged in a matrix, with each LED representing a single pixel on the display. The brightness of each LED can be controlled individually, allowing for the display of complex images and animations.

LED displays can be categorized into various types based on their configuration and application, including seven-segment displays, dot-matrix displays, and video displays. Seven-segment displays are used to display numerical information and consist of seven individual LEDs arranged in the shape of a figure eight.
