Bias Tuned Gunn Oscillators

Bias Tuned Gunn Oscillators (BTGOs) are electronic devices that generate microwave signals for use in a variety of applications, such as radar systems, communication systems, and microwave heating. They are made from a Gunn diode, which is a type of semiconductor device that can generate microwaves when a bias voltage is applied to it.

The BTGO works by applying a bias voltage to the Gunn diode to create an electric field across the device.
