Floppy/Zip Media

Floppy disks and Zip disks are magnetic storage media commonly used with floppy drives and Zip drives, respectively. Floppy disks are thin, flexible magnetic disks housed in a protective sleeve, while Zip disks are larger, rigid plastic cartridges containing removable magnetic disks. These media were widely used in the 1980s and 1990s for storing and transferring data, such as documents, software, and multimedia files. However, with the advent of higher-capacity storage technologies like CDs, DVDs, and USB flash drives, floppy and Zip media have largely become obsolete.
