One common type of trigger device is the optocoupler or optoisolator, which is used to isolate and transfer signals between two circuits using light. When a voltage is applied to the LED, it emits light that is detected by the phototransistor or photoresistor, triggering the device.
Another type of trigger device is the Schmitt trigger, which is used to generate a digital output signal with a well-defined transition threshold. A Schmitt trigger consists of an amplifier with positive feedback, which provides hysteresis to the input signal.
