This Addonics micro SATA Drive Reader is a high performance Reader/Writer for accessing any 1.8" micro SATA hard drive or SSD via eSATA or the ubiquitous USB connection. It is OS independent and can be used in Desktop, Notebook and most computing equipment. Build on the Pocket UDD25 platform, this Reader can also used for accessing 2.5" HDD or SSD and a myriad of different flash media such as M2, mSATA, CFast, CF and slim SATA SSD using various Addonics optional 2.5" flash adapters. The storage media can be inserted or removed from this Reader like a floppy disc without restarting the system. Practically any storage media that is the same size as the 2.5" hard drive and with the same SATA connector can be accessed by this Reader. Designed to be fully portable, this device is powered directly from a computer via the USB port. There is also a USB READ ONLY version that blocks all the write functions to the media, an ideal solution for forensic application, for protecting virus contamination or data tampering. |
