Install this card in the Black Box® HD-over-IP Encoder/Decoder to interface with high-end 3G-SDI video equipment. It's particularly ideal for TV studio, post-production, digital cinema, or AV applications where you want to use an Ethernet network to extend from a camera or other device equipped with 3G-SDI outputs to a 3G-SDI-compliant display or video processor. For SDI source-to-SDI display applications, order a card for two VX-HDV-IP base units. However, if necessary, you can mix interfaces within the same HD-over-IP Encoder/Decoder installation, connecting a 3G-SDI source on the encoder side and a DVI-I or HDMI device on the decoder side, or vice-versa. For this mixed-interface application, you will also need to order our HD-over-IP Encoder/Decoder DVI-I/HDMI I/O Card (VX-HDV-IP-HDMI). What's more, the card supports 3G-SDI loopback via a coax connector, so you can locally monitor the video that you're extending over the IP network. |
