The WinTV-HD has an S/PDIF output which carries the surround sound audio to your home theater audio system. Note: the S/PDIF outputs are only active on high-definition TV programs broadcast in Dolby Digital. Analog TV, too! WinTV-HD also tunes and displays conventional analog television, from cable TV or a TV antenna, in a resizeable window on your PC screen. Two RF connectors are included on the WinTV-HD so you can connect to cable television and a Digital TV antenna at the same time. When tuned to an analog TV station, WinTV-HD's dbx-TV noise reduction circuitry delivers crisp, clear stereo audio. And with WinTV-HD's remote control, you can surf your digital and analog TV channels at the same time, from across the room. Note: The WinTV-HD cannot receive encrypted digital cable TV or satellite TV. It is designed to receive ATSC digital TV standard programs, plus standard analog TV.
