It also offers enterprise-level performance and scalability for up to 24 internally attached SAS and SATA drives. The Gen10 controllers are supported by the HPE Smart Storage Battery. The HPE Smart Storage Battery supports multiple devices and is sold separately. HPE MR Storage Administrator manages up to 24 drives directly connected to the HPE Smart Array P824i-p MR Gen10 Controller without the need of an expander card.
