HP USB 2.0 Drive Key is small external USB 2.0 flash storage device offering 1 GB of file storage capacity. Light weight and compact, HP USB 2.0 Drive Key is ideal for users on the go. Once the Drive Key is plugged into the USB port of a PC, it acts like any other mass storage device. The host computer immediately detects the Drive Key, recognizing it as a supplementary drive and assigns it a drive letter. Files located on the system hard drive can be moved to the device for storage or for transfer to another computer, much as would be done with a diskette drive. With the integrated data protection light, the Drive Key will blink until the data is safely stored. The benefit of the HP USB 2.0 Drive Key is that it offers nearly 700 times more storage capacity than a standard diskette drive, and the flexibility of transporting data on a small storage device versus a laptop, bulky removable drive or various diskettes. It does not require any drivers and plugs directly into the USB 1.1 or USB 2.0 ports found on most computers. |
