GUF202 is a combination CardBus adapter that features both USB 2.0 and IEEE 1394 (FireWire) connections on the same card. It includes two USB 2.0 Type A receptacles and two IEEE 1394 Type A receptacles. All USB ports support both USB version 2.0 and 1.1 devices. The two external USB 2.0 Type A ports can be used for external USB 2.0 and 1.1 devices such as scanners, portable CD-ROMs, portable drives, etc. The two external IEEE 1394 receptacles can be used for IEEE 1394 devices such as digital camcorders, digital cameras, etc. USB 2.0 will move data at a rate of 480 Mbps (Megabits per second), and is fully backward compatible with the first generation of USB devices. With the increase in speed, USB 2.0 will offer enhanced functionality, allowing more devices to share the increased bandwidth.
