SIIG’s FireWire 800 DV Kit is a superior product designed to add FireWire interface to your computer for connecting multiple high-speed FireWire devices. It instantly adds three FireWire ports, one 6-pin FireWire 400 (1394a) and two 9-pin FireWire 800 (1394b), to your PCI-enabled desktop computer. This 3-Port FireWire 800 (1394b) host adapter delivers data transfer rates up to 800 Mb/s, supports isochronous and asynchronous data transfer modes, features Plug-n-Play connection of peripheral devices, and allows you to connect and disconnect FireWire devices without turning your system off. It works flawlessly with a variety of FireWire 400 (1394a) and FireWire 800 (1394b) devices including hard disk drive enclosures, DV camcorders, CD-RW/DVD-ROM drives, digital cameras, and other audio/video devices. The FireWire 800 DV Kit comes with Ulead VideoStudio DV software to easily transfer videos from your DV camcorder to your computer for editing, a 1394a 6-pin to 4-pin DV cable, a built-in 4-pin power connector to provide extra reliable power source from the system and a spare low profile bracket for systems with low profile chassis. The FireWire 800 DV Kit supports IEEE P1394b and is backward compatible with 1394a-2000 and 1394-1995 standards. It is fully interoperable with FireWire, iLINK and SB1394 implementation of IEEE 1394 standards, PCI 2.2 compliant and works efficiently in 32-/64-bit PCI slot. The FireWire 800 DV Kit is FCC Class B (DoC) & CE regulatory approved and RoHS compliant.
