SIIG’s FireWire 800 ExpressCard is an excellent product designed to easily add FireWire 800 connectivity to your ExpressCard-enabled desktop or notebook computer. It instantly adds one FireWire 800 (1394b) and one FireWire 400 (1394a) port for multiple device connections. The FireWire 800 ExpressCard delivers data transfer rates of up to 800Mb/s, supports both asynchronous and isochronous data transfer modes, and allows you to hot-swap devices (connect and disconnect) without first turning your system off. It is installed in an available 54mm ExpressCard slot and works seamlessly with a variety of FireWire (1394a & 1394b) devices such as DV camcorders, hard disk drive enclosures, digital cameras, scanners, CD-RW/DVD drives, video game systems, and other audio/video devices. The FireWire 800 ExpressCard is fully compatible with a wide variety of Windows operating systems and is backed by SIIG’s limited lifetime warranty. |
