The SD Xtra allows for effortless transfers between any SD slot and USB port. The innovative design allows photos, music or data to be transferred easily without the use of a reader/writer or cables. Built into this SD card format is a USB 2.0 high-speed flash drive. With the cover attached the card plugs into any standard SD or MMC card slot in kiosks, cameras, PDA's or Digital Music players. When the cover is removed the card becomes a USB 2.0 thumb or flash drive. This drive can then be plugged into any standard PC or laptop USB port and read like a disk drive. When tested in various consumer Cameras, PDA's and computers, the SD-Xtra demonstrated impressive access speeds. As a USB 2.0 drive the access speed is over 10MB/s and when used as a SD card, the speed is over 7MB/s. This allows the consumer the ability to quickly and easily copy, read and write pictures or data. The design of the SD Xtra combines both Flash and USB controllers, combining two separate and very popular consumer storage devices into one. |
